Reflecting on the joy of going swimming as a very young child in primary school, remembering the faces of children that looked like me and basking in the pure innocence of our activity. Unburdened by what our complexions meant to the outside world, simply enjoying ourselves.
lyrics
we would dragon ball z
under water see see
in pool of our lightness
found likeness that be
we would dragon ball z
under water see see
in pool of our lightness
found likeness that be
reflected in droplet
filing basin to brim
nun that overflowin’
we got memories of joy
joy bringing flashback
smile back to face black
do best remember
as whip cracks on bare back
welts in mind,
black out
Chorus
verse
as
weight of world lifted
from young head
rest on a pillow
i dream of a new bed,
in water i bled not blue
as lasting light shone now thru
thru glass creating anew
image i shake not
grounded in lightness
and likeness for timely departure,
splash and kamahameha
spirit bombiiin away splashiiin
over the water and waves
grounded in lightness
and likeness for timely departure,
spirit bombiiin away splashiiin
over the water and waves
Splash
Splash
Chorus
Coby Sey:
"You're home, you're away, from birth to bereaved, ever moving, submerged and consumed, in phases of blue that's forever anewed
just like the womb, we are bathed... in a mode of sleep that we face, that we face..."

I'm a bit anoid with my silf that I only just found this fantastic album yesterday, but also chuffed to fuck that I have at all. Love it so much what a wining collaboration 👊🔥🔥 Toblermone
Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
Gaelynn Lea won NPR's Tiny Desk Contest, and it's easy to see why. Haunting, beautiful country songs, laced up with weeping fiddle lines. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 3, 2016
